ECaM members was invited to join an unofficial meeting to strengthen our collaboration between IUT, ECaM, and Cambodian society. Its meeting is aimed at (1) Delegating money collection to a Cambodian NGO; (2) Sending French students to Cambodia; (3) Planting Beng tree at IUT yard; and (4) strengthening collaboration between Cambodian students and IUT.

ECaM members were invited to participate an international conference topic "Discovery of Cambodia" on 4th February 2016. From the beautiful picture and excellent explanation about the the history and social contexts of Cambodia to the international stage.
Taking this opportunity, we would like to thanks again for all of the time and effort that you routinely put into organising the Cambodian events. We appreciate all of the works you do for the event and always look forward to the other events related to Cambodia, we will be happy to join when we know that you are in charge.

Congratulation to Mr. SOK Kimchhin for being voted to rehold position as a Representative of ECaM 2016, Mr. PHAL Sophanith for being voted as a Secretary, and Miss. We are very delighted to have one of our members, Mr. DIM Wanndet, to be graduated on the title of Master of Science and Technology of live and Environment 2014-2015 (Master 2 Sciences et Technologies de Vivant et de l'Evironnement) after his excellent thesis defense at SupAgro Montpellier. Mr. DIM Wanndet specializes in water and Agriculture in which he has developed a powerful method which can be used in particullarly in tropical region. Topic: Humanitarian fund raising was handed to Kantha Bopha hospital
The 600 euros donation was collected in March 2015 among Cambodia students and families currently studying and living in Montpellier of France, was handed by a representative, Mr. SOK Kimchhin to Kantha Bopha hospital deputy director, Dr. Denis LAURENT on 2nd June 2015. In return, a letter of knowledgement (photos) is given by the hospital as an appreciation for the help to the donors. On behalf of Cambodian children and parents, and the hospital director and staffs sincerely appreciate and thank so much to the donors; the funding aids will be utilized to mange for daily operation going on sustainably. Lastly, we wish all the best to you and your families!

We are re-initiating a donation-collecting activity to help supporting Kuntheak Bopha hospital, a Cambodia-based non-profit hospital, which is currently struggling to support its daily operations due to financial shortages. Kantha Bopha hospital provides free medical treatments to Cambodian children from across the country. It is where children from the poor and the poorest families benefit the most in terms of health care. Topic: Donations to Kuntha Bopha Hospital
As Kuntha Bopha Hospital is struggling financially to keep its daily operation going on, there are many initiatives from Cambodian families and communities in Cambodia and overseas trying to raise money in order to help support the hospital. One of those initiatives is proposed by a group of Cambodian students in Montpellier and collaborated by students and residents in Toulouse (France) as a humanitarian donation as to contribute to the sustainability of the hospital. After receiving financial aids amounted to €570 from students and residents in Montpellier as well as in Toulouse, the money was brought to Cambodia by a student representative, Ms. Phoeurn Vuthamry, in order to give the donation directly to the hospital. On 23th July 2014, the donation is successfully handed to the hospital deputy director, Dr. Denis LAURENT. In return, a letter of knowledgement is given by the hospital as an appreciation for the helps of the students and residents in Montpellier and in Toulouse.

Topic: Ph.D. defense
We are very delighted to have one of our members, Mr. Sothea HONG, to be granted the title of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) after his excellent thesis defense at the Ecole SupAgro de Montpellier. Mr. Sothea HONG specializes in water irrigation system management in which he has developed a powerful method which can be used anywhere in the world where optimized allocation of water resources is highly needed. We, whole-heartedly, once again would like to express a sincere congratulation to him, his family, and especially his remarkable work which is so fruitful after three years of intensive research.

We are students currently studying in Montpellier, France.
